The Hiring contract is between the Hirer and the owner of the property for which the booking is made and incorporates conditions 1-9 set out below

1) Terms. All terms are per week for the accommodation equipped and described, unless otherwise stated.

2) Initial Payment. When you book, the initial payment of £100 for each week of hire required. This initial payment comprises your booking deposit as part towards your holiday home. It will be refunded if the booking is not confirmed (see note4.)

3) Balance outstanding. The balance outstanding shown on your booking confirmation must be paid 21 days prior to the date of occupation

4) Booking Cancellation. If you are compelled to cancel your holiday you must notify us immediately. Do this in writing by email or first class post and enclose your hire invoice. If you have to cancel within 14 days of your holiday you must telephone first and follow this by written email or letter and we will endeavour to re-let. If we are successful in re-letting your booking deposit will be refunded in full.  
You will remain responsible for the prompt payment for the balance of the hire charge unless either (a) we receive your notice of cancellation at least 21 days before the date of your holiday, or (b) we are able to re-let the holiday accommodation.

5) Minors. Booking from young people under the age of eighteen cannot be accepted.

6) Hirer’s Responsibilities. The Hirer is responsible for the property and is expected to take all reasonable care of it. The Hirer also undertakes to report and replace all equipment lost, damaged or stolen. Unsuitable substitutes are not accepted. All equipment, utensils, etceteras must be left in a clean condition at the end of the hire period. The property is let fully furnished and provided with sheets, pillowcases and towels. On arrival Hirers are advised to check on any shortcomings, damage or missing items immediately so that it can be remedied. No claims can be considered for such matters not so notified.

7) Occupation and Departures (unless otherwise agreed).
Occupation. The time of occupation to be 3 p.m. on the starting day of hire, subject to unavoidable delays

Departure. The property must be vacated by 10 a.m. on the final day of hire and left in a clean condition.

Hire Periods. Saturday to Saturday. Normally unless otherwise agreed.

8) Availability. The booking is made on the understanding that the property will be placed at the disposal of the Hirer on the dates stated. If the owner is prevented, because of circumstances outside their control, from putting the property at the disposal of the hirer on the starting date, all monies shall be returned in full but the hirer shall have no further claims against the Owner.

9) Unsuitable Hirers. The owner reserves the right to refuse to hand over the property to any person who in their opinion is not suitable to take charge. In such cases all hirer charges shall be refunded in full and the contract shall be discharged.
